In 2022, GMCT was preparing to go to market to replace its existing GIS capability. They sought to procure a forward-looking GIS platform that would deliver cost-effective value to the organisation for a minimum of five years. GMCT required independent geospatial consultants to facilitate the procurement process.

The consulting team provided an impartial perspective, including conducting a needs analysis, market scan of potential technology providers, defining both functional and non-functional requirements, and drafting the Request for Tender (RFT). This process was underpinned by extensive consultation with stakeholders and users from various regions and teams within GMCT.
